Brown marmorated stink bug
The New Zealand Ministry for Primary Indutsries (MPI) has introduced heightened biosecurity measures to prevent the invasion of the Brown Marmorated Stink Bug from other infested areas of the world. Any shipments originating from one of the following countries, containing any vehicles, machinery or parts, and shipped to New Zealand on or after 1st September, and arriving on or before 30th April must be treated by a New Zealand & Australian government approved treatment provider at origin.
*All sea shipments from Italy must be treated by a New Zealand & Australian government approved treatment provider at origin.
Any shipments that do not meet the requirements may be denied entry into New Zealand.
