I Would Use Conroy’s Again
The pick up of my items was fine. It took less than an hour and the movers arrived on time, which is great.One thing that you could do to improve is communication. I mentioned that I would like my stuff to arrive on the 29th of September, however I had not received any sort of communication on any delays. I understand that this would take 7-14 days for this to arrive, but if I had requested a date for my things to arrive and if there are any delays, I would have expected a phone call or email regarding of the delay, which I would have been happy with. I did call up a couple of times to get updates though, and the staff were professional and friendly. One other thing was when my items arrived in Christchurch and started unpacking. There were a few scuff marks on some of the items – e.g. one of the TV's, the mattress base, one of the screws had fallen off the desk, and the record player had its hinge broken (which that particular item was packed in a box by the movers). It wasn't broken completely, but a little more care needed would be required when it came to moving things. No major damage occured, but just a little disappointing that there was some slight damage to my items.Yes I would use Conroy's again if I was moving inter-island or overseas in the future.

Fantastic!
Fantastic effort by all the teams.No breakages and great packing. The moving team were cheerful and helpful and we really appreciated them putting up the beds for us.We will recommend Conroy's to our friends.

“very very damp”
Efficient delivery, efficient and helpful to deal with BUT cartons of books which had been in storage for 15 months arrived very very damp indeed which is unsatisfactory to say the least. One would expect that storage areas would be water and/or weather-proof.

“I have had a terrible experience”
I have had a terrible experience!!…from the movers turning up without boxes etc because someone changed my quote inc packing to pack your own when it was invoiced. Then having to contact you because I thought it was strange I had had no further communication after receiving shipping details to find out our goods had been sitting in chch for 6 weeks!! We have been living in our new apartment in Sydney for 2 weeks waiting for our things to arrive sitting in camping chairs and we had to buy an air bed kitchen things etc just to be able to live here. Still waiting for our delivery. Very upsetting considering I stayed in NZ for 4 weeks to allow our things to get to Sydney before me.

1 Star move
On my move from New Zealand to Australia, I dealt with Laura-Jayne Braithwaite. I was advised by her that I would be contacted the day before pick up, which was 24 October. As this was Labour Day, I guess thats why I didn't hear from her. On the morning of the 25th, when my goods were supposed to be picked up, I didn't hear from anyone. I sent Laura-Jayne an email asking what was happening and didn't get a response. I then sent her the following email (still no response), which I think covers all that happened. "No reply from you today to my email, so I phoned the number on your site. Eventually got onto despatch in Auckland (I think). He said the guys were in Rotorua and would be here around 4pm. A Hiace van arrived thinking they were picking up empty boxes! They loaded my stuff into the van, then phoned their Tauranga boss, as they had no paperwork to give me. He asked them to get my email address and he would do an inventory tomorrow and send it to me. My stress levels are fairly high with this move anyway, and I expected a more professional service from you. I am certainly not impressed. I can't fault the guys who picked up. They were very pleasant and courteous. I hope all my gear arrives in Australia."Thankfully my goods did arrive in Australia, and I can't fault the communication or the service this end.
